Together with some friends we rented Plane Castle outside Stirling, Scotland for 4 days in May. We had\u00a0 been able to book the entire property, so a very private, castle-like atmosphere was ensured.<\/p>\n
Weatherwise, our expectations for Scotland were not that high: we had heard about lots of rain and misty conditions. But we ended up with 5 really warm and sunny days. Perfect for enjoying a castle-breakfast on the terrace overlooking the surrounding fields.<\/p>\n
The manger of the castle recommended a trip to Culross. This was a really nice village on the ocean, beautifully maintained and restored. We enjoyed tea and cakes at the old abbey cafe up the hill from the village. Highly recommended!<\/p>\n
